Zambia seize pro-secessionists

Some 46 people suspected of possesing seditious materials Tuesday appeared in the Mongu Magistrates’ Court, the capital of Barotseland, now known as Western Province, reported the state owned The Daily Mail.
“For now, they are charged with seditious practices and possession of seditious materials but depending on the advice of the DPP, they can face more charges,” Western Province commissioner of police Lombe Kamukoshi was quoted as saying. Local media reported last week that some suspects eluded the police, who thwarted their attempt to hoist a flag, but one of them was later found hiding on the Zambia-Angola border on Monday....
